A is a curator of contemporary art. He studied architecture, art history, and philosophy in Aachen and Berlin before completing the MA program in Curatorial Studies at Städelschule, Frankfurt. During his studies, he developed a particular interest in questions of art reception and mediation, culminating in his master's thesis, which explored Hartmut Rosa's concept of resonance in relation to curatorial practice.
Alongside his studies, Peter gained practical experience in the field of contemporary art in various roles—as a guard, intern, student assistant, project planner, and artist liaison—at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.), Gropius Bau, and KOW. These diverse perspectives informed his understanding of exhibitions not only as sites of presentation, but as spaces of encounter that shape how artworks become public and how visitors engage with them.
In recent years, he worked as Assistant Curator at Portikus and Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. At the latter, he co-curated the first major German retrospective of Julie Mehretu and developed the performance series Encounters, among other projects.
As an independent curator, he has organized exhibitions at venues including Museum für Fotografie, Brandenburgischer Kunstverein, fffriedrich and Kleine Humboldt Galerie. Working closely with artists, his curatorial projects explore themes such as social polarization, the artistic potential of AI, family histories, and Kitsch.
He is currently based between Düsseldorf and Berlin.
